Guadalajara: Day 1 | September 20

I got up early and met Tim, Carol, Rachael, Michelle, Callie, Char, Jeff, and Nancy at the airport at 4am. We stuffed a couple cases of Spanish bibles in our bags, got through security, and headed to the gate. We are on our way!

Iglesia Radiante is the very first international Radiant Church plant. They’ve been open for  about a year now, and I have already heard that Pastor Edgar and his team are impacting Guadalajara in amazing ways. I can’t wait to see it for myself!

Pastor Edgar and Raul, Radiante’s worship leader, met us at the airport in Guadalajara and introduced us to the local cuisine. We ate Tortas Ahogadas, a specialty here in Guadalajara. Then we stocked up on bottled water at the pharmacy across the street, and headed to our hotel to get settled in. This city is huge!

Over dinner we got to meet the rest of the Gomez family. We loved getting to know them! They told us about their experience here in Guadalajara, and explained all the opportunities we will have this week to minister to the city. It was a long day of travel, and I am glad to be here, but I am totally exhausted! I know we will all sleep well tonight.
