Prayer Room
Located in the Heart of Downtown Kalamazoo
At Radiant Church, we believe that we are first and foremost a House of Prayer. Jesus declared in the Gospels, “My House will be called a House of Prayer for all Nations.” In the Book of Acts, the Holy Spirit responded to the fervent prayers of the first disciples, and church history shows that God responds to His praying people with greater measures of His intimate presence and transformative power. John Wesley also said, “God does nothing but in answer to prayer.”
Our vision at Radiant Church is to be a Praying and Worshiping Church that relentlessly leads people to become fully formed disciples of Jesus Christ. This conviction shapes our personal prayer lives, our leadership of families, and the vision and strategy of our corporate gatherings. In the heart of Kalamazoo, we are calling God’s people to host His presence on the corporate altar of Radiant Church through prayer and worship.
No matter where you are in your walk with God, we invite you to join us in the Radiant City Center Prayer Room. Let’s seek the Lord together and pursue His renewal for our city and revival for our generation.

Prayer Room Fall Update Letter from Pastor Zach Dillon
As we approach this fall with renewed faith and anticipation, I am thrilled to step into the role of Pastor of Prayer. Having served at Radiant Church for nearly a decade, I have witnessed firsthand our church’s growth over the years. Now, as we continue to expand and deepen our commitment to being fully formed disciples of Jesus, I am excited to bring my experiences and heart for prayer into this new chapter.
Our Vision for Prayer at Radiant
The Church is first and foremost a House of Prayer. Jesus declared in the Gospels that “My House will be called a House of Prayer for all Nations.” At Radiant Church, this calling shapes not only our personal lives but also the structure of our church leadership and our corporate services. For the past 28 years we have been and are continuing to become a praying and worshiping church!
Embracing Our Identity and New Directions
As we step into a new season, we are introducing some key changes to enhance the accessibility and impact of our prayer ministry:
Fall 2024 Prayer Schedule:
Monday: 7:00AM, 12:00PM, 7:00PM
Tuesday: 7:00AM, 12:00PM, 7:00PM
Wednesday: 7:00AM, 12:00PM
Thursday: 7:00AM, 12:00PM
1. Engagement Over Observation: Our prayer meetings will foster active participation, inviting every attendee to engage deeply rather than observe passively.
2. Morning Prayer Shifts for Accessibility: We have tailored our 7:00AM prayer sessions specifically for those with daytime commitments, such as working professionals, ensuring that everyone has a chance to start their day in prayer. These sessions will be led by our pastors, who will provide guidance and teaching to help everyone cultivate a dynamic prayer life.
3. Cultivating Prayer at Every Level: We define a Praying Church as a church consisting of praying individuals making up praying homes making up a praying congregation. We are committed to broadening our focus to include not only corporate gatherings but also personal and familial prayer. Stay tuned for new prayer expressions this coming year.
Why Downtown?
The decision to centralize our prayer efforts in downtown Kalamazoo is strategic. This location not only facilitates access for the wider Radiant community but also places us at the spiritual and civic heart of our city, where we believe we can pray most effectively for God to transform our city and region.
