Guadalajara: Day 3 | September 22

Jeff and Tim started their mornings extra early and helped Pastor Edgar’s team set up the baptismal/swimming pool on the upstairs patio of the church, which is actually in a hotel in town. Yesterday Pastor Edgar told us that he expected about 9 people to participate in baptisms, but there turned out to be 17!

The rest of our team jumped in to help with the worship service. Some of us sat in during worship, while others helped in the nursery or helped to teach the younger kids. Then we all came together on the patio after worship to celebrate and cheer on the baptisms. There was so much joy there today!

We had an amazing lunch, and then went back to Edgar’s house for a gathering of their leadership team. I got to share a message about Kingdom leadership and seeking the presence of God above all else. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully, and as we worshiped and prayed for their team and their city, we experienced a deep sense of unity. It was incredibly powerful, especially considering our language gap! Raul led us in worship and we all sang together in our own languages. We left feeling encouraged and ready for another long rest!
