A Super Thank You

Katí, her mother, and brother, Victor, with the bags of food they received.

Dear Joel and the Radiant Family,

Our daughter, Rhema, has discovered the word “super.” She’s “super tired.” The food is “super yummy”. The doll is “super cute." It’s amazing how many things are “super” to a three-year-old.

Well, she’s not the only one to think like that. This note is to let you know that to us and to the lives that are being impacted here in Guatemala because of your encouragement, prayers, and support. Radiant Church Family, to us, YOU ARE SUPER. THANK YOU!

Your faithful support has helped make it possible for us to keep on ministering, training, caring, feeding, and sharing the hope of Christ here in Guatemala for the past 10 years. Here’s one quick example:

Just today, I got these photos back from a youth pastor up in the mountains where we heard there was still a big need for food. Using some of the emergency food money we had, we bought rice, beans, oatmeal, powdered milk, oil, noodles, soup packs and other food supplies. We packed all that into 105 bags and then drove the over 1,600 pounds of food more than three hours up into the mountains into an area known as the Ixil Triangle. In the town of Cotzal we delivered the food to an active youth group that reaches out to the villagers who were hard hit during the double storms that hit Guatemala and isolated many of the villages in this region by knocking out bridges and washing out roads. They delivered these food bags over the weekend. We are excited to continue partnering with local churches as they reach out with the love of Christ in very real ways like this.

Thank you for your support to help make make this and many other outreaches and demonstrations of Christ’s love possible in Guatemala.
