Kindness Acts
Since 2013, Kindness Acts’ mission has been to create, facilitate and administer a Christian mentorship program for adults and children to end the cycle of substance abuse and poverty in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and greater southwest Michigan. Started by two members of Radiant Church, they partner closely with local homeless recovery programs (like Kalamazoo Gospel Mission) and following their completion, help place families into permanent housing by furnishing their homes with basic necessities.
Their hearts are focused on showing the true love of Jesus to others and believe there is no greater reward than to be able to serve the Lord and be a blessing to others. Their ultimate goal is to model Jesus, our Lord and Savior who gave His life on the cross for us, which is the ultimate act of kindness.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AND EVENTS
Weekly Kids Bible Study
We take a team of volunteers to the mission every week. We bring in dinner for all the kids and feature a half-hour video Bible program and then follow up with one on one small groups with the kids. We dig into the word, pray with the kids and challenge them in their faith.
Moving Help
We have a warehouse full of beds, dressers, couches, tables, and large household items. Many families who move out of the mission have nothing. Oftentimes, we find children sleeping on the floors. We serve anyone in the Kalamazoo area in need including the disabled, vets, women from sex slavery, and those coming out of the mission.
Indian Lake Family Field Trip
We will host homeless kids and families from the mission. The day will start with a Bible message and worship. The rest of the day will consist of swimming, fishing, games, pottery painting, and then will be wrapping up with burgers and ice cream. Our goal is to serve those most broken in our community with a day of fun and encouragement while we share the love of Jesus. Come help us serve and bless these families with a day of fun.
Kids Camp
During these three days, we will have small group bible studies & worship with the kids in the morning and afternoon. Our goal is to share the love of Jesus and help these kids to develop a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. At the same time, we want to bless, encourage and support them while they are able to enjoy fun activities and events they are not typically able to experience. Some of the activities include a giant bounce house, snow cones, crafts, swimming, games, and a fire department spray down. This year we are also planning to end our last day with water baptism. Come help us pour into these amazing kids!
KGM Staff Appreciation Lake & Barbeque party
KA will have the opportunity to serve approximately 125 staff members and family. These men and women sacrifice so much to pour into the homeless in our community, it is time to bless and serve them! We will have swimming, basketball, pottery painting, games, burgers, ice cream and so much more. Please consider coming to serve and bless this team and their families.
