Good Friday: Out Of Egypt: Shelter In Place

God is once again calling His Church to remember. Remember who we were created to worship. Remember where we were when He came for us. When we again find ourselves pinned down by impossible circumstances and hear the echoes of accusation pursuing us, we must remember that it is He who is fighting for us, leading us and bringing us into a land flowing with milk and honey. In this hour, it’s time for us follow the fire by night and cloud of His presence by day.

Exodus 12:11-13 (ESV)
“In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover. 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord. 13 The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.”

While in a shelter in place, there was a blessing, joy, and urgency of what was coming.
Pharaoh saw the people as a tool. God saw the people as people.
Jesus became the ultimate fulfillment of Passover.
God was not just delivering the people out of Egypt - He was delivering them from the bondage of Satan.
On the cross, Jesus became the substitute.
Jesus was on the cross rescuing us from an empty life.
Jesus came to ransom and rescue us.
When we connect the dots of Passover, we're left with the cross.
