All In

All In

Speaker: Pastor Tim Matthews

Solomon received wisdom, knowledge, riches, and honor from God because he asked for the ability to govern God's people, not for personal gain. Solomon's life demonstrates that wisdom alone is insufficient. God seeks those who will seek Him with their whole heart. Are you all in?

Here's a 5-day Bible reading plan and devotional guide based on this sermon:

Day 1: Trusting God Wholeheartedly

Reading: Proverbs 3:5-7, Jeremiah 9:23-24

Devotional: Today's readings remind us of the importance of trusting God completely rather than relying on our own understanding or boasting about our own abilities. Solomon, despite his God-given wisdom, wealth, and power, understood the vital importance of trusting in the Lord above all else. Reflect on areas of your life where you might be leaning on your own understanding rather than trusting God. How can you shift your focus to acknowledge God in all your ways? Remember, true wisdom comes from fearing the Lord and turning away from evil. As you go through your day, consciously try to acknowledge God in every decision and action, no matter how small.

Day 2: The Heart of Worship

Reading: John 4:23-24, Psalm 63:1-8

Devotional: God is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and truth. Today's passages highlight the importance of wholehearted devotion to God. The psalmist expresses a deep longing for God, describing his soul thirsting for the Lord. As you read these verses, consider the state of your own heart. Are you seeking God with your whole being? Reflect on what it means to worship God not just with your words or actions but with your entire life. How can you cultivate a deeper hunger for God's presence? Take time today to simply be in God's presence, expressing your love and adoration for Him without asking for anything in return.

Day 3: The Power of Prayer

Reading: Matthew 7:7-11, James 5:13-16

Devotional: Prayer is a powerful tool that connects us directly to our Heavenly Father. Jesus encourages us to ask, seek, and knock, assuring us that God delights in giving good gifts to His children. James reminds us of the effectiveness of fervent prayer. As you meditate on these passages, consider your own prayer life. Are you bringing everything to God in prayer? Do you truly believe in the power of your prayers? Challenge yourself to pray more boldly and consistently, trusting that God hears and responds. Today, try praying throughout your day, acknowledging God in all your ways and seeking His guidance in every situation.

Day 4: Living to Please God

Reading: Colossians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 10:31

Devotional: These verses call us to do everything for the glory of God. Jesus exemplified this by always doing what pleased the Father. Reflect on how you can bring glory to God in your daily activities, whether eating, drinking, working, or relaxing. What would it look like to acknowledge God in all your ways? Consider how your choices, words, and actions can reflect your love for God and bring Him glory. Today, before each task or interaction, pause briefly to ask, "How can I do this in a way that pleases God and brings Him glory?"

Day 5: Embracing God's Love and Grace

Reading: Romans 8:31-39, Ephesians 2:4-10

Devotional: Today's passages remind us of the depth of God's love and the richness of His grace. Nothing can separate us from God's love, and it is by His grace that we are saved through faith. Reflect on the magnitude of God's love for you personally. How does understanding this love and grace impact your daily life and choices? Remember that God loves you not because of what you do, but because of who He is. As you go through your day, consciously embrace God's love and extend His grace to others. Consider how you can live in a way that demonstrates your gratitude for God's incredible gift of salvation.
